2009-07-08: VENUS shines over Kassel

The proposal of the University of Kassel for a research cluster on "Design of techno-social networking applications in situative ubiquitous systems (VENUS)" was successfully evaluated and accepted as part of the hessian excellence program LOEWE. The state of Hessen will allocate a total budget of 4.2 M€ to the VENUS research compound. Six research groups are involved. A seventh one will be founded within the first year of VENUS. Prof. Geihs is the designated speaker of the project. The main innovation of the new research cluster will be a design methodology that takes interdisciplinary aspects into account right from the start of the software lifecycle. For more information visit the VENUS web pages.
